Wearing confort / ergonomics / features

With their Arctis 5 Steelseries created a comfortable gaming headset. Thanks to reasonable weight, good balance and soft ear cushions this headset is comfortable to wear. Actually, the padding is made from memory foam, which has been covered using microfiber fabrics and therefore the Arctis 5 should fit virtually any head shape. Apart from that the microfiber cloth should last a small eternity. If you’re concerned about the durability of this headset, then we can tell you that its construction is very solid.

If you want to control the volume you’ll find a slider on the left ear cup. By moving it up and down you either increase or decrease the volume. On top of that this slider also works as a button and by pressing it you can disable the microphone. Same in this area we find the connectors to wire the headset with your PC. The Arctis 5 can be connected via USB or with a standard jack with 4 poles. Also included in the delivery you will find a cable with an in-line volume mixer. Like all the latest gaming peripherals, also the Arctis 5 feature RGB lighting. Both ear cups feature a backlight that you can control via software. Overall we have to say the lighting makes the this headset look really nice.
