XFX rolls out its own R9 270 DD graphics card

Double Dissipation cooler

XFX has joined the rest of the AMD AIB partners by announced its own Radeon R9 270 Double Dissipation graphics card. The new XFX R9 270 DD will feature a compact version of the Double Dissipation cooler, and will stick with AMD reference clocks.

According to what we can see from pictures, the new R9 270 DD features a bit smaller version of the Double Dissipation dual-slot dual-fan cooler with four heatpipes, and will work at 900MHz for the GPU base, 925MHz for GPU Boost while 2GB of GDDR5 memory will be clocked at 5.6GHz. The rest of specifications include the 28nm Curacao GPU with 1280 stream processors, 80 TMUs and 32 ROPs as well as a 256-bit memory interface.

XFX will stick with AMD's own suggested retail/e-tail price of US $179.99. XFX is apparently also one of the partners that will offer Battlefield 4 bundled with some of the R9 series graphics cards.
