NVIDIA und Epic Games haben an einer Portierung der Unreal Engine 3 zu Windows 8 und Windows 8 RT gearbeitet. Mittlerweile findet man ein erstes Video auf Youtube, das die Engine auf einem Windows RT Tablet von ASUS in Aktion zeigt.
Das Tablet wird derzeit auf der IFA ausgestellt. Diese Entwicklung stellt einen Meilenstein für Windows 8 RT dar. Durch die Portierung der Unreal Engine 3 wird es wesentlich einfacher für Entwickler ansprechende PC Games oder Xbox Spiele kompatibel zur neuen Plattform zu machen (und umgekehrt natürlich).
