Fraps ermöglicht beispielsweise das sekundengenaue Aufzeichnen von Frameraten. Zudem können auch Videos von 3D-Anwendungen erstellt werden. Will man die Frameraten überwachen, dann sieht man jeweils Höchst-, Tiefst- und Durchschnittswerte.
