Corsair is working on new Corsair Force MP500

The first NVMe SSD from Corsair

Although we have seen many manufacturers joining the M.2 SSD market, Corsair hasn't released any drive so far. The Italian online store Drako.it has now listed suche a drive, which goes by the name Force MP500 NVMe PCIe 3.0 and it’s based on the M.2 2280 form factor.

So far there aren't too many details on this upcoming drive around. To be honest we can't even find it on the official Corsair website, which indicates, that this is quite possibly a leak. In the shop we see that these drives are available in 120GB, 240GB and 480GB flavors. Regarding performance, these are definitely no slow drives topping out sequential read performance of up to 3'000MB/s and 2'400MB/s for sequential writing. In the case of random performance it’s supposed to reach 250,000 IOPS for read and up to 210,000 IOPS for 4k writes.

The price of these units is set to 119.90 euro for the 120GB, 179.90 euro for the 240GB and 349.90 euro for the 480GB. All the drivers are covered with 3 years of warranty.
