MSI is teasing two Intel Z270 motherboards

The release date appears to be very close

On their official Facebook page, MSI have shown a little preview regarding their upcoming next generation Intel Z270 motherboard. At the moment there is only a little teaser which shows a few parts of the Z270 SLI Plus and the Z270 SLI. Both motherboards feature a completely black color scheme with white labels on the PCB.

According to the image, it looks like both models are based on an ATX form-factor with four DIMM slots. Despite the Pro Series belonging -at least with Z170 chipsets - to the mid-range series, we can already spot a few nice features that you can usually be found on high-end board. There is for instance an I/O cover as well as several M.2 slots.

If you are thinking about buying a new PC, which is based on Intel’s Z-series chipset, we’d suggest to wait a few weeks since it appears that the launch of Kaby Lake and Intel Z270 is just around the corner. At the moment there aren't any new details but we are sure that other manufacturers will show little previews as well.
