FSP officially launches new Twins Series PSUs

Coming in 500W and 700W versions

FSP has now officially launched its new Twins Series power supply units, a first consumer-oriented ATX redundant and hot-swappable dual PSUs modules that will be available in 500W and 700W versions.

Each Twins Series PSU contains two independent power supply units with its own power adapter that share the load between two modules, or simply between two power supplies located in a module but if one fails, the other takes over as "a clean fail-safe." Since these support hot-swap functionality, it is easy to replace the faulty module when it fails.

Meant for small web, mail and home servers as well as other applications, the FSP Twin Series will be available in 500W and 700W versions and can be connected to a USB header and monitored via FSP Guardian software as well as includes a LED that shows the current status of each module.

Each PSU is 80 PLUS Gold certified, which means it hits 90 percent efficiency at 50 percent load and comes with all the usual protections.

Currently, only the 500W model is available with a price set at US $399 while 700W model should be available soon with a price set at US $499. The entire FSP Twins Series is backed by a 5-year warranty.
