SilentiumPC unveils Grandis 2 XE1436 CPU cooler

The new flagship tower CPU cooler

SilentiumPC has unveiled its newest flagship CPU air cooler based on D-type twin-stack design, the Grandis 2 XE1436.

As noted, the new SilentiumPC Grandis 2 XE1436 CPU air cooler uses a D-type aluminum fin twin-stack design and can handle TDP loads of up to 250W, making it suitable for both Intel HEDT as well as AMD FX-series CPUs.

The Grandis 2 XE1436 CPU air cooler has a copper based connected to two heatsink via six 6mm-thick copper heatpipes which are in direct contact with the CPU. The two heatsink towers are cooled by a SilentiumPC 120mm Sigma Pro, which pushes the air and a SilentiumPC 140mm Sigma Pro-L fan which is placed between the two heatsinks.

Both fans use a 4-pin PWM connector and spin between 500 and 1000 RPM (1600 RPM for the 120mm version), pushing 58 and 46.5 CFM of air and producing a maximum of 21dBA of noise.

The SilentiumPC Grandis 2 XE1436 CPU air cooler measures 130x105x159mm and weighs just a bit over 1kg. It supports AMD AM2(+), AM3(+), FM1, FM2, FM2+ and Intel LGA 775, LGA 1150, LGA 1151, LGA 1155, LGA 1156, LGA 1366, LGA 2011 and LGA 2011-3 sockets.

It is backed by a 2 year warranty and comes bundled with high-performance Pactum PT-2 thermal compound.

Unfortunately, SilentiumPC did not reveal any details regarding the price or the availability date but we are sure that this one will show up in retail pretty soon.
