SilverStone unveils two new mini-ITX cases

During CES 2015

CES 2015 show took place from 6th to 9th January 2015 in Las Vegas and it was a perfect opportunity for manufacturers to unveil their future products, including Silverstone, which unveiled two new cases in mini-ITX form factor, the CS-01 and CS01-HS.

While it was obvious that CES 2015 was mostly focused on SSDs, there were plenty of other computer hardware to discover. At SilverStone stand, our colleagues from ThinkComputers spotted two new mini-ITX cases, the CS-01 and the CS01-HS, which will certainly delight those who wish to create an HTPC system or a small dataserver.

They share the same dimensions, same aluminium design (black or brushed), a location for an ATX power supply and a motherboard with the connection bracket upwards and an expansion slot. Only when it comes to storage support, these two cases will be different.

The CS-01 will be more oriented to HTPC or media systems. It will feature support for two 3.5" drives and two 2.5" ones. Enough to mount a small gaming rig and place it in the living room. The CS01-HS on the other hand, swapped its two 3,5" locations against a hot-swap bay that can accommodate up to six 2.5" hard drives as well as has support for two more 2.5" drives inside. These can be extracted from the top and will certainly please those who wants to build a file server.

These two cases should arrive to market in March 2015 with a price of US $129 for the CS-01 and US $159 for CS01-HS.
