While we were quite sure that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will need quite a hardware setup to run those level of details that we have seen in earlier released screenshots and videos, we now have the official confirmation from CD Projekt for both minimum and recommended system requirements for the latest Witcher game.
Since we are still over five months away from the official launch date set for May 19th, there will be plenty of time for users to upgrade their hardware, as according to the post over at the official website, you will need at least Intel Core i5-2500K 3.3GHz or AMD Phenom II X4 940 CPU, Nvidia Geforce GTX 660 or AMD Radeon HD 7870, 6GB of RAM, 64-bit Windows 7 or Windows 8 (8.1) OS and 40GB of HDD space in order to run The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
Recommended system requirements are a whole different story and makes us wonder what you would actually need in order to get all the eye-candy in the latest CD Projekt Witcher game. According to that same post, recommended system requirements include Intel Core i7 3770 or AMD FX-8350 CPU, Nvidia Geforce GTX 770 or AMD Radeon R9 290 GPU and 8GB of RAM, while the rest of the requirements are the same.
In case you missed it earlier, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be released on May 19th for PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
