The launch is coming closer

At the moment it seems that no day is passing by without new rumors on Intel’s upcoming Coffee Lake Refresh processors. Just yesterday we’ve last been writing about overclocking capabilities of Intel's upcoming mainstream processors and today there is new information these chips pricing.


Both with ultra wide format

During IFA 2018, LG has shown a pair of gaming monitors under a completely new sub-brand. The LG 34GK950G and LG 34GK950F are very similarly specced monitors belonging to the manufacturers UltraGear range. They both support G-Sync and FreeSync 2 variable frame rate technologies.



Still high temperatures

The guys over at Elchapuzasinformatico have published an extensive review on Intels upcoming Core i7-9700K processor. The chip has been put through its paces in almost every scenario including overclocking capabilities. Although the CPU comes with STIM (Solder Thermal Interface Material) the temperatures skyrocketed pretty soon.



Capable CPU cooler

With the Fera 3 HE1224 CPU cooler, the company has a new single-tower cooler in it’s portfolio. At a first glance this is a good looking product, which also could even perform well, supporting CPUs with up to 180 Watts TDP.


Might pack 10C/20T

A few months ago, AMD released the second generation of its Ryzen processors alongside a new series of motherboards. AMD has received really good feedback from customers and reviewers and according to the latest rumors the company might be adding yet another big chip.

Another set of benchmarks on Intel's Coffee Lake CPUs has surfaced. This time it looks like the eight-core Intel Core i7-9700K, which is supposed to make it to market later this year, has been put through its paces using Cinebench R15.


Performance on par with AMD Ryzen 5 2600X

Once more benchmark results of an upcoming Intel processors have leaked. This time the Intel Core i5-9600K six core chip has been spotted in the Geekbench database. Overall this seems to be a capable chip as well.



With OLED displays

During the Computex 2018, ASUS first presented its Ryuo series of closed-loop liquid coolers. These all-in-one coolers are based on Asetek design and include RGB LED illumination and a tiny OLED display located on top of the pump.


With four ports

Elgato announced the release of their Thunderbolt 3 Mini Dock, which is a rather compact hub which comes with display outputs, USB Type-A port and, Gigabit Ethernet connector. The Thunderbolt 3 Mini Dock is aimed primarily at owners of Apple's latest MacBook Pro laptops who need more ports.


In Q1 2019

According to the latest rumors, AMD is working on a new chipset for their Ryzen Threadripper 2000 processors. Things are starting to look like the motherboard vendors are going to show X499 board boards at CES 2019. Apart from that the Z490 is supposed to be unveiled by then as well.


Running smooth

We finally managed to get our hands on the Battlefied V Open beta and we have taken some screenshots. The Battlefield V Open beta is available on Origin and it the beta testing phase will end on September 11. The game itself weighs almost 13GB and we suggest to download the latest drivers from NVIDIA or AMD as well.



Titan Xp isn't fast enough for 60FPS in UHD

EA has just released the Open beta of Battlefield V and the latest first person shooter is based on the Frostbite engine and features a lot of wide open-world spaces to explore. Our friends over at Guru3D have performed some preliminary benchmark results, testing the most popular resolutions such as FullHD, WQHD and UHD.



At least at launch

Micron has revealed that it’s going to be the initial supplier of 8Gb memory for the GeForce RTX 20 Series. This partnership is exclusive for the launch yet NVIDIA’s AIB partners might team up with other memory vendors.



With Athlon and Ryzen Pro

AMD’s second generation seem to be as susccessful as its first generation and still ride that wave the red team is now adding their new Athlon APUs and Ryzen Pro CPUs to the portfolio. While the Athlon CPUs are intended for entry-level PCs, the Ryzen Pro processors are designed for commercial/professional clients.


Compatible with upcoming GeForce RTX cards

If you would like to water cool the upcoming NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics card, you will be happy to know that Alphacool has released the Eiswolf 240 GPX-Pro closed-loop liquid cooler. It's compatible with NVIDIA’s RTX 2070, RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Ti cards.




In two weeks

As we all know meanwhile NVIDIA has recently announced their RTX 20xx series graphics cards but currently we still don’t know how quick the new cards are going to be in the real world. While some users believe that the technology might be revolutionary, other gamers think that ray-tracing will actually kill some of the performance.



First Aorus mini-ITX board

Today appears to be leak day, since details on the upcoming Gigabyte Z390 mini-ITX motherboard have emerged as well. While this motherboard is going to be compatible with Intels Core i7/i9-9000 series of CPUs, the box art mentions compatibility to the 8th Gen Core processors.


Great looking design

It looks like the launch of the upcoming Intel Z390 motherboards is just around the corner since there is yet another leak. The Croatian PC Ekspert YouTube channel has published a video about the upcoming PRIME Z390-A motherboard. The video is already offline however someone did manage to take screenshots before they removed the video.

During the past days more and more rumors have surfaced regarding Intels upcoming mainstream desktop processors. While these chips are compatible with the current generation of Z370 motherboards, there is also a bunch of new Z390 based motherboards expected to hit the market. So far we’ve spotted some new pictures of an upcoming board from ASUS.


Now with dedicated media controls

Razer has updated the Blackwidow Elite gaming keyboard, finally adding dedicated media controls. While this isn't an earth-shattering update, we believe that it is still a very welcome change since the volume knob can be very useful in quite a few situations.
