Almost one year ago, Intel has shown the Optane 900P SSDs which was limited to two models. Now, almost one year later, the company has released a new version which feature three form factors and up to 1.5TB of capacity. Furthermore, Intel has improved the design and cooling on the M.2 version adding EKWB heat sink.

Cooler Master has announced the release of their new ATX 24-pin 90° adapter. This adapter is rather useful if you want connect your 24-pin motherboard power connector to the power supply with a 90° angle. Since the adapter is universal, it will work with any configuration.

First ASRock Z390 mini-ITX motherboard

A couple of days ago we have received a small ASRock motherboard based on Intel Z390 chipset. Compared to the previous model, the Z390 Phantom Gaming-ITX/ac has been improved on several aspects. ASRock has changed the color scheme and updated the motherboard with the new chipset. The motherboard comes with an attractive price tag and targets the high-end market.

The new 9th generation Intel Core processors have been plagued by high prices and a lack of stock at major computer hardware retailers around the world. If you want the latest CPU from Intel, you have no alternative and pay a hefty premium over Intel's recommended customer pricing.


During the last week there has been a lot going on in the overclock scene. The Taiwanese overclocker Hocayu has achieved a new world record using a G.Skill TridentZ RGB DDR4 memory kit. Furthermore the test setup has been conducted on an ASUS ROG Maximus XI Gene paired with a Core i7-8700K CPU.

With Core i9-9900K processor

Meanwhile Intel has finally launched their 9th Gen Coffee Lake processors alongside the Z390 platform. For overclockers this means they can get their hands on a bunch of new hardware, which always something exciting. Overclocker der8auer has already posted a max CPU-Z score showing a Core i9-9900K running at 7.6GHz using the ROG Maximus XI Gene motherboard, and the Italian overclocker rsannino managed to set a new PiFast and SuperPI records using the same board.

Based on 12nm process

It looks like AMD is working on a new Radeon RX 590 graphics card that should be based on a new 12nm process. According to latest rumors, the graphics cards would arrive sometime in Q4 2018 but at the moment there aren't more details.

Significant improvements

A few weeks ago, the first specifications on Intel's upcoming 9th generation processors have started to surface. Now the processor is finally available and the well-known overclocker der8auer managed to delid also this new processor with his specific tools. Meanwhile he posted a video on Youtube where shows the temperature improvement.

Flagship model

In the past days more and more rumors have surfaced regarding Intels upcoming new mainstream desktop processors. Gigabyte today revealed its Z390 Aorus Xtreme, a high-end model designed for overlockers and enthusiast users.

Two models

Zotac has shown two new graphics cards, which are based on the TU104 chip from NVIDIA. With the GeForce RTX 2070 Mini, another series of GPUs with smaller-than-usual dimensions have been unveiled. Like the previous generations, these cards should be perfect for SFF gaming PCs.

Based on a high-contrast IPS panel

Philips has added another monitor with a 27-inch panel and 3840 x 2160 resolution to its lineup. The display comes with a high-contrast IPS panel and it's supposed to deliver good picture quality. In addition the 276E8VJSB sports a rather elegant design with slim bezels.

Cadence and Micron are ready

Although the JEDEC specification for DDR5 aren't finalized yet, Cadence and Micron have already started developing first 16Gb DDR5 RAM module. According to them, the mass production will start before the end of 2019.

First model from Colorful

Colorful has released a new motherboard that is compatible with the latest Intel 9th-gen processors as well as 8th-gen processors. Like the previous model this one features an entirely black color scheme with silver accents. According to the manufacturer, the iGame Z390 Vulcan X should be the right motherboard for gamers and overclockers.
